Job Description:
Fire Tech & Safety is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to serve fire departments and emergency service organizations throughout Cumberland County, Maine.
Responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with fire departments in Cumberland County and surrounding areas, visiting customers regularly and staying visible in the territory, helping departments evaluate equipment, PPE, service needs, and future purchases, preparing quotes, following up on opportunities, and assisting customers through the buying process. The position also involves coordinating with Fire Tech’s service centers, product managers, inside sales, and support staff, representing Fire Tech professionally at departments, trainings, demonstrations, and regional events, learning the product lines and becoming a trusted resource for customers, and responding quickly to customer calls, emails, and requests.
Previous sales experience is not required. Candidates with fire service, emergency services, municipal, public safety, military, or service-oriented backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
