3M™ Scott™ Air-Pak™ SCBA cylinders supply the breathing air for the Air-Pak self-contained breathing apparatus platform and are available in multiple sizes, pressures, and connector configurations to match individual department requirements.
Cylinders are offered in aluminum (2216 psig) and carbon-wrapped composite construction, with composite models built from an aluminum alloy inner shell overwrapped with carbon fiber, fiberglass, and epoxy resin. Rated pressures include 2216, 4500, and 5500 psig, and 5500 psig models offer roughly a 10% reduction in weight and profile versus a comparable 4500 psig cylinder. Duration ratings of 30, 45, 60, and 75 minutes are available (based on NIOSH breathing rates), depending on size and pressure.
- Connector types include CGA Threaded, Snap-Change, ACSi (90-degree CGA Threaded), and ELSA cylinder connections
- Manufactured to Department of Transportation (DOT) and Transport Canada (TC) specifications and NIOSH approved as part of the Air-Pak SCBA
- Photoluminescent band improves visibility in low-light conditions
- Hydrostatic retest required every five years; composite cylinders carry up to a 15-year service life, with select 30-year-rated models also available
Select the size, duration, pressure rating, and connector/valve type that matches your existing Air-Pak SCBA harness and regulator configuration.
